Bracknell nursery children paint Chinese letters

Children at Bright Horizons Forest Park Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool have been looking at a variety of Chinese letters as they learn more about Chinese New Year.

They had a go at painting their own letter and used the flour tray to mark make numbers.

“The children also had fun using the chopsticks to try and pick up objects,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Laura Gardner.

Children at Bright Horizons Epsom Day Nursery and Preschool have been enhancing their number recognition and mathematics skills with different materials.

The children used pens to identify the numbers on both raffle tickets and dominoes, in an activity part of the organisation’s Growing Mathematicians programme.

“The programme helps to emphasise the importance of maths in everyday life,” said Nursery Manager Maddiy Clancy.
