Mount vernon nursery children celebrate Holi

Children at Bright Horizons Mount Vernon Day Nursery and Preschool in Northwood have been celebrating and learning all about Holi.

The Holi festival, also known as the festival of colour, celebrates the arrival of spring. The children love being creative and they were given the chance to use paint in a messy play session to create a coloured canvass.

They then decided that their playhouse shed could do with a bit of colour during this festive period so worked together to decorate it.

“The children made beautiful splatter paint pictures by dipping paintbrushes into the brightest colours they could find and throwing it down onto paper,” said Nursery Director Tracy Berry. “We would like to wish all our families celebrating a Happy Holi from all the team here at Mount Vernon.”
