Bright Horizons Buckhurst Hill Day Nursery and Preschool, located on Palmerston Road in Buckhurst Hill, has opened its doors to families.
The brand-new nursery is managed by Tiffany, who has more than 14 years’ worth of experience in Early Years.
Tiffany said: “We are so delighted to have opened. We can’t wait to start making a difference to the lives of the families and children who have registered with us and begin welcoming them into our state-of-the-art setting. All the works that have gone into transforming this location just make me feel so proud and I can’t wait to see the children interacting with our amazing environment . It’s such an exciting time.”
The nursery, which is situated close to all the local amenities and transport links, is housed on what was previously the site of an independent school. The building has undergone a full interior fit out, as well as complete external works to create a new outdoor area at the rear.
“Designing the rooms and unpacking all the boxes has been a real labour of love,” said Tiffany. “We want to ensure that the nursery brings a smile to each and every child joining us here. We’ll be incorporating our Bright Beginnings curriculum to nurture a lifelong love of learning within children and to help set the foundations for emotional resilience.”
The curriculum in use at Buckhurst Hill is in place across all Bright Horizons nurseries in England. It is designed to acknowledge the individual voice and needs of each child to promote confidence, wellbeing and a genuine love for learning. It features “loose parts,” encouraging children to play freely with everyday items, whilst being supervised at all times, to enable them to develop creativity, solve problems and make connections in their learning. Children will also be provided with opportunities to engage in sensory experiences through art by using big paint brushes, paint rollers and floor brooms or mops on a large canvas. This type of activity is essential to develop the muscles in a child’s shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, in preparation for writing.
Tiffany explained: “Our bespoke curriculum will support the children and families for that smooth home to nursery transition. Our enabling environments will allow the children to learn and develop confidently through the support of our key person approach. And parents will have further peace of mind as they will have access to our parent app and will receive updates daily about their child’s learning.”
The new nursery at Buckhurst Hill features the latest learning equipment and resources, art areas in a covered outdoor area, together with outdoor play space for the different age ranges and dedicated growing enhancement areas.
Providing children with the best start in life is at the core of everything the team at Bright Horizons do. If you would like more information and to book a tour of Buckhurst Hill, please click here, or phone 020 3906 6577.
