It was a fun filled day on Thursday at Bright Horizons Buckhurst Hill Day Nursery and Preschool, the new purpose-built setting located on Palmerston Road, as young children and their families came together for a teddy bears picnic.
Tiffany, Nursery Manager at Bright Horizons Buckhurst Hill Day Nursery and Preschool said: “It was lovely to hold this event for families and the rest of the community to come and see our nursery. It’s exciting to be able to have a brand-new space that has been designed to meet the needs of all our children and allow them to be in a great place to learn and grow. I’m so happy to see how much the children are appreciating being at the nursery after being open for a few months and we have a great team who are passionate about Early Years.”
Lianne, Regional Director at Bright Horizons said: “Bright Horizons Buckhurst Hill nursery has an enthusiastic team all eager to provide a fun and stimulating environment for the children by using a personal approach with a focus on each child’s well-being through our Bright Beginnings Curriculum. It was great to see how joyful the families were to be celebrating the new nursery and getting to see all the new features we have incorporated to enrich their child’s learning.”
The new and spacious nursery has undergone a full interior fit out, as well as complete external works for a new outdoor area at the rear. This now provides direct access to the gardens for the preschoolers and toddlers where they have a water wall feature and a cosy wooden teepee making outdoor play both a fun and relaxing space. Each room inside the nursery has Feelings Boxes, a dedicated calm space for wellbeing, and age-appropriate resources for each age group.
The nursery also has a Ready for School programme to help older children develop their knowledge in maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to feel confident and ready for school. This is taught alongside their Bright Beginnings Curriculum designed by Early Years specialists at Bright Horizons, which is at all their nurseries, it’s focus is on providing a personal approach to supporting children’s wellbeing and development.
