Summer fun secures funds for Bright Horizons Foundation for Children

Bright Horizons Elm Grove Day Nursery and Preschool in Kingston Upon Thames hosted a fun-filled open day on Saturday for families from the community. 

Early Years practitioners from the setting helped to organise an abundance of summer-themed activities, including water play and beach themed games. A number of local organisations, including the local police, were also on hand to support the event. Nibbles and refreshments were available throughout the day. Families also had the chance to tour the exceptional facilities.

Over £300 was raised on the day for The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and families facing crisis and disadvantage. Its Bright Spaces provide enriching play environments designed to help children heal from trauma caused by domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, parental imprisonment, and ill health. Later this year, the Foundation will open its 100th Bright Space in the UK to support vulnerable children.
