This week the team at Bright Horizons’ Bolton branched out into their local community with a trip to the beautiful central library. The trip reflects the nursery’s commitment to creating enriching experiences for their children. Throughout the trip, the young learners were captivated by the variety of books, the library’s aquarium, and a variety of playful learning stations.
Staff at the library warmly welcomed the children, guiding them through fun storytelling sessions and encouraging exploration. The visit also included interactive learning opportunities, where children were invited to engage with books, ask questions, and develop their language and communication skills.
Nursery Manager, Colette Fairhurst, said “The team and I are always looking for opportunities to get the children involved in their community. The library visit was a fantastic way to foster their love for books and teach them about the community they live in. We are grateful to the Bolton Library for making the experience so enjoyable for the children.”
Parents were thrilled with the trip, recognising the positive impact that library visits have on their children's literacy skills. Across the country Bright Horizons teams are committed to developing children’s development through reading in line with our Nurture Approach.
Rajpreet, one of the parents on the wider Bright Horizons parent panel, said “it is wonderful to see the team so actively encouraging and fostering a love for reading. It brings me great joy to witness his excitement and enthusiasm for books and storytelling”.
