Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Nursery is proud to announce that Tyler, a dedicated nursery manager, successfully completed a 10K walk on 13th September, raising an impressive £646 for a vital cause. The funds will support the creation of a Bright Space at a central London hospital, a project developed by the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, which creates enriching, safe environments for children and families in challenging circumstances.
The Bright Space initiative at a central London hospital will offer traumatised children and young people a place of respite and play to support their recovery. Tyler’s efforts directly contribute to the Foundation’s mission of bringing joy, play, and peace to children facing difficult times, and her team are actively working toward the creation of this space.
“We are incredibly proud of Tyler's dedication to such an important cause,” said Emily Harris, Social Impact Manager at Bright Horizons. “Like all of our practitioners, her passion for helping children and families extends beyond her work with us, and this moonlight walk is a perfect example of how our teams genuinely care about the welfare of children and constantly look to make real differences.”
The walk took place as part of a broader initiative to encourage community involvement and raise money for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, which operates across the UK to provide Bright Spaces in hospitals, shelters, and other critical care environments. Tyler’s walk has not only raised £646 in funds but also inspired colleagues, families, and the wider community who are currently in the process of collecting ‘calm kits’ to aid the children’s healing journeys whilst in the space.
The Bright Horizons Columbus Courtyard Nursery is one of nearly 300 nursery teams across the UK supporting the Bright Horizons Foundation ahead of its one hundredth Bright Space opening later this year.
