It’s Official! 20 Years of Best Workplaces™ Recognition for Bright Horizons!

20 Years of Best Workplaces

Bright Horizons, a leading provider of high-quality early education and childcare, back-up care, and workforce education services, has now earned its 20th consecutive appearance on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ List (super large category).

This latest prestigious accolade is a testament to the culture and passion that exists at Bright Horizons. Last year, Phil Smith joined Bright Horizons as its new UK Managing Director. Phil explains: “Bright Horizons is such a unique organisation. Driven by shared values, our people shape us and create such a lasting impact. I’m so proud to be part of Bright Horizons. Our people are our greatest asset. Every day, I see the dedication and passion that our team brings to their work, and it's truly inspiring. Whether it's through innovative solutions, compassionate care and education, or collaborative efforts, our people consistently go above and beyond to make a difference. It's this collective commitment that makes Bright Horizons not just a workplace, but a community where everyone thrives and grows together.”

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK, says: “We’ve seen an increase yet again in Trust Index scores, which means the bar has been raised and this accreditation is a significant and tremendous accomplishment. The UK’s Best Workplaces all excel in creating consistently great experiences for all employees through fostering high levels of trust, pride, and camaraderie. These crucial elements collectively contribute to creating cultures where employees feel they can truly be themselves and thrive in a supportive and caring environment. Congratulations to Bright Horizons for achieving a place on our 2025 UK’s Best Workplaces™ List."

Phil continues: “It’s imperative for us to always evaluate employee feedback to drive our success. By actively listening to our employees, we ensure that every voice is heard and valued. This approach not only fosters a culture of continuous improvement but also empowers our team to take ownership of their ideas and initiatives. Our commitment to culture and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, creating a vibrant and dynamic workplace where creativity and innovation can flourish. Together, we are building a future where everyone can thrive and contribute to our shared success.”

Janine Leightley, HR Director at Bright Horizons UK, comments: “At Bright Horizons, we celebrate diversity and individuality, which is underpinned by our four pillars of belonging, reward, purpose, and ambition. We empower our team through comprehensive training and development, ensuring everyone can thrive. Our HEART values guide us in creating an inclusive environment where all perspectives are valued. We invest in our people, helping them achieve their career milestones and enjoy long, successful careers with us.”

Great Place To Work® performed rigorous evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions from leaders at each company to create the 2025 UK's Best Workplaces™ list. They then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience. Only those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
