Pregnancy
There is a lot of planning to do when you are expecting a baby, that's why we're here to support you at the earliest stage.
From birth, babies are busy, active learners, investigating the sights, sounds, and feel of the world through their developing senses.
At Bright Horizons we provide babies with what they need: a safe world, rich with opportunities to actively explore, using books, songs, and a lot of listening and responding to their vocalisations and words.
The first day at nursery is a big step for a little one (and you!), so we offer free settling in sessions to allow you both to get used to the transition. Your child will be assigned a Key Person especially dedicated to their wellbeing.
As well as daily in-person progress updates, you’ll get regular updates via our Bright Horizons Family App and we even provide home learning activities, and stay and play sessions, to enable you to get involved in our community.
All of our baby rooms are homely and welcoming, with enriching activities that promote your little one’s development. Every day is a learning opportunity, and our nurturing and experienced staff will guide your child’s progress to each new milestone.
Rooms provide a variety of functions from hosting sensory toys that inspire your baby’s curiosity, stacking and sorting activities that encourage muscle and brain development and practitioner-led music-making sessions.
Most nurseries also feature beautiful baby gardens, with small structures like up-and-over ramps and soft building blocks to encourage muscle strength. Our gardens give your little one a safe place to enjoy the fresh air and make new discoveries.
When your little one has finished investigating, they can rest up in our cosy baby sleeping areas.
We tailor everything to you and your baby from the moment you enquire with us. We’ll follow the feeding and sleeping routine your baby has at home as closely as possible, because no one understands your little one quite like you.
We cater for a variety of dietary requirements, supporting them through formula or breastmilk feeds and weaning. Nutritious food is freshly prepared every day and preparation is specific to your baby’s stage of weaning. Alongside food, unlimited nappies and wipes are included, keeping your baby clean and dry.
With so much to learn every day, tracking your little one’s progress is as important to us as it is to you. Every child has a Learning Journey on our Bright Horizons Family App where you can easily see their milestones, achievements and new skills.
Every nursery practitioner is First Aid trained and we have specialist SEND staff in each nursery, there to support children who have special educational needs or a disability.
We are excited to be part of your baby’s learning journey and look forward to meeting you and your little one soon.

Being a toddler is a time of huge change, moving from the total dependence of babyhood to the more independent, mobile world of a preschooler.
