How Specialist SEND Care Has Made All the Difference for Our Family

When we first joined Bright Horizons, we were looking for a nurturing and supportive environment where our child could grow and thrive. We hadn’t anticipated how much the specialist SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support would contribute to helping our child truly thrive.

SEND support that made a difference

Our child received additional support for speech and language development, and we’ve been amazed by the progress they’ve made. Their key workers and the SENCO team put a structured plan in place to help them stay on track, ensuring activities were tailored to their needs and interests.

The team’s patient and thoughtful approach made a real difference. By adapting tasks to keep them engaging and accessible, our child gained confidence in their communication skills without feeling overwhelmed.

One tool that has made a noticeable difference is the 'Now and Next' board. This visual aid provides structure and clarity, helping our child understand routines, reduce uncertainty, and manage transitions with more confidence. It’s a technique we’ve also adopted at home, bringing more predictability and reassurance to our child’s daily life.
