Balham Day Nursery and Preschool

Recently refurbished, our welcoming Nursery and Preschool in Balham offers a fantastic setting of fun and exciting learning opportunities for every stage of your child's development, from ages 3 months to 5 years old. With a convenient buggy park, the nursery is close to Balham and Streatham Hill train stations.

Throughout our age-focused rooms, we provide the best start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school. Our nursery also offers open ended resources that support children to make choices, be inquisitive/ creative while following their interests.

Our baby room, designed for children aged 3 to 18 months, is beautifully decorated to create a 'Home from Home' atmosphere. Here, we prioritise your child's individual routine, focusing on feeds and providing dedicated spaces such as a living area, a sensory room, and a separate sleep room.

Our Toddler Room, dedicated to children aged 18 to 35 months, focuses on your child's physical development while providing support with toilet training, and speech and language skills.

The Preschool Room for 36 months to 5 years provides fun and exciting structured activities as well as encouraging children to ask questions, independently explore and develop skills ready for school and beyond.

Moving outside your child can prepare for an adventure in our expansive garden! Children adore exploring its vast space, where specially designed zones offer tailored play experiences to suit every age group. From the thrill of discovering fruit trees to eagerly participating in discussions about upcoming seasonal changes, there's always excitement in the air!

In addition, we offer Boogie Mites an interactive music and movement session, which is loved by children of all ages and provides exciting opportunities to learn about the world through music and song; and while your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
