You and your child will love our beautiful refurbished nursery in Broadgreen, designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
We care about the individual needs of every child. Our nursery is laid out to give your little one the best age-specific environment in which to flourish, and we have a SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator) on site for children who require an extra level of support.
Our Broadgreen nursery baby room is split into Under 1s and 1-2s, allowing us to tailor our care to their specific developmental stage. We have also separated our garden by age into four sections, so that indoor learning can be consolidated in a new, fresh environment that is modified for each age group.
For preschoolers, we focus on our unique Growing Enhancements programme to encourage their natural curiosity to learn. This focuses on reading, writing and mathematics, alongside vocational subjects such as art and cooking, to help lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements.
Community is also important to us and we take the children on regular nature walks and library visits, to strengthen their knowledge and familiarity with their local area.
Our Broadgreen day nursery is recognised by Ofsted, who rated us Good in their latest inspection. We also have a Google review rating of 4.8/5 stars and DayNurseries score of 9.2/10 (as of January 2020). We are situated in the grounds of Broadgreen Hospital, with a buggy storage area for your convenience. We also have a dedicated Parent Room with sensory equipment for babies.
Our long-standing team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and we will show you all our nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

Request a call backI have worked at Broadgreen for just over two years. My journey in childcare started through volunteering, after completing double health and social care at A-level, I decided to move on and further my knowledge through completing a degree at university in Early Childhood studies.
I started at the nursery in 2015 as a nursery nurse after the completion of my level 6, within the year I had progressed to preschool room leader, during this time I developed my management skills and knowledge. In 2017 I was thankful that an opportunity opened for the deputy manager position, to which I was successful. I am passionate about my role within the nursery, and it’s amazing working with such a fantastic team. I am exciting to move the nursery forward, and work alongside a manager that strives for outstanding.
Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.
Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!
The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
