Step into Chelsea Day Nursery and Preschool, where our devoted and highly qualified staff are committed to nurturing and educating children aged 3 months to 5 years. Conveniently located near Battersea Park, Chelsea Bridge, and the Lister Hospital, our nursery offers an onsite buggy park for added convenience. With excellent transport links nearby, including Victoria station, Sloane Square, and Victoria tube stations, accessing our nursery is both easy and convenient.
Across our age-focused rooms, we offer an exceptional start to schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child's wellbeing, development, and progress, whether that involves transitioning between rooms or preparing for school – whether that's moving rooms or preparing them for school.
In our light and airy baby room, we follow your baby's home routine to help them feel secure and transition smoothly to nursery life. The room offers low-level resources and sensory materials like loose parts, foam sea animals, soil, lemons, and oranges. Activities such as exploring these materials and making playdough support your child’s development and help them flourish.
Our cosy toddler room is designed to allow your child to move freely and independently, enabling them to choose the toys and activities that interest them. They'll love spending their days painting, building with blocks, exploring the play trays, and snuggling up for stories in the reading corner.
Preschoolers will have lots of fun in our bright and colourful preschool room, where they'll be prepared for their transition to school. The children are encouraged to communicate their thoughts, ideas, and needs, and to develop self-care skills such as washing their hands, serving food, and dressing themselves. They can use their imagination and curiosity during role play. Science activities, such as mixing water and oil, experimenting with cornstarch, and making their own playdough, fosters exploration. We ask open-ended questions and allow children to investigate their ideas, while also supporting them in learning how to regulate their emotions.
To ensure your Preschooler is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.
We have a spacious outdoor area divided into two sections, tailored to your child's age and development. The gardens offer all-weather play with activities like tunnels, sports equipment, play trays, and bug hotels, plus a planting area for learning about growing vegetables. With free-flow access from classrooms, children can enjoy the outdoors anytime.
Located near Battersea Park and the River Thames, we take frequent trips to the park and local libraries to help children feel connected to their community. And whilst your child is busy having fun, we can keep you updated on their day via our Family App.
We also offer Settling in Sessions tailored to suit you and your family. Please ask our nursery manager for more information.

Our calculator enables you to estimate your basic fees BEFORE childcare funding is applied. We’ve taken this approach as funding is dependent on your own very individual situation, how old your child is, where you live, whether you’re working and so on.
Our comprehensive funding guides provide guidance on what funding you’re likely to be eligible for, we can send this to you after you’ve estimated your fees.
When you visit us, we can also help you understand your options and work out what your net fees will be after any childcare funding is taken into account.
Oops! We appear to be having a few technical challenges! Our team is working hard to get our fee calculator back up and running soon as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with us.
