A Spacious and Inspiring Nursery in Greenwich

Welcome to Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. Our caring and experienced staff are dedicated to supporting your child’s development from the ages of 3 months to 5 years.

An Enriching Environment for Every Child

Our nursery in Greenwich has five open-plan rooms tailored to different age groups.

Your baby will feel at home in our baby room, where we focus on the areas your little one shows interest in, as well as their routines from home. They’ll love our cosy sleep area, where we use calming music and sensory lights to relax your baby into a peaceful slumber.

Toddlers can explore different areas of learning throughout the day in their rooms. To support your child’s individual needs, our long-standing staff plan exciting activities to further their growth and development.

Your preschooler will be supported in becoming more independent in their room, where we encourage them to set up the table and self-serve at mealtimes.

Little explorers aged 2+ enjoy freeflow access to our beautiful garden, giving them the independence they love to make their own discoveries.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s development and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

The Best Start for Their Education

Your child will have the opportunity to develop a love of learning through our Growing Enhancements. This unique programme introduces your child to the key skills they’ll need to thrive and feel confident when they start school. This helps to lay the foundations for subjects including maths, reading, writing, computing, science, art, and more.

A Beautiful Rooftop Garden and Tasty Meals

Our Greenwich nursery has a landscaped roof garden which your child can enjoy in all weathers. The garden is filled with fun and educational resources to expand your little one’s mind and encourage imaginative play.

Children enjoy a wide variety of delicious, healthy meals and snacks, made by our onsite chef. All meals, snacks, nappies, wipes, nappy cream, formula, and suncream are included in your fees.

A Great Location for Commuting Parents

Our Greenwich Day Nursery and Preschool has a wonderful location for local families and commuting parents. We’re close to famous landmarks such as the Cutty Sark, and near both Greenwich train station and Greenwich DLR.

I have been with Bright Horizons since January 2018. I am a qualified Level 3 in childcare and hold a Business and Management qualification Level 5. I have been working in childcare for 10 years, working my way up from an apprentice to now Manager of Greenwich. Working with children is a passion and thrive on supporting them develop through learning and play. I have supported Greenwich with their first Ofsted Inspection in January 2019 where we received a Good with Outstanding qualities. I thoroughly enjoy supporting and mentoring staff to provide children with exceptional childcare on a daily basis, and believe parent partnerships is key to working with children.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
