North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool

At Bright Horizons North Cheam Day Nursery and Preschool, children become part of a warm and welcoming community comprised of dedicated staff, parents, and fellow children. Our staff members are trained in Makaton, facilitating effective communication, and some are bilingual, and area able to support families with English as an additional language.

Conveniently located with ample parking, and accessible via transport links from Worcester Park train station, Morden tube, and buses to New Malden station, we offer comprehensive services for children aged 3 months to 5 years old.

Our primary focus is making sure that children are happy and settled, whilst also making sure that every day is full of adventure. Our bright and modern purpose-built nursery has four large age-focused rooms rooms tailored to support the development and care of each age group. In addition, we have our Happy Street room, suitable for groups of children to have focused activities and opportunities to have one to one or rest time with a familiar adult.

In our baby room, we follow your baby’s home routine as closely as possible, to ensure a smooth transition to nursery life. Our bright, spacious environment features sensory toys aiding motor skills, physical development, and speech and we are very proud of our beautiful crawl in earl years sand pit. Ideal for encouraging discovery and promoting physical development amongst babies.

Toddlers love their room, where we encourage independence through playing and learning about the world around them. Children develop social skills and self-help skills ready for transition to the Preschool room.

In preschool, as well as basing activities around the children’s interests, we work on developing the key skills your child will need to feel ready and confident to start school. In addition, they have their own garden area with free-flow access, so they can have fun outdoors throughout the day. Our large, main garden is designed for our preschool, with adjoining outdoor learning areas designed for Babies and Toddlers. 

Our settling sessions are adapted to the individual needs of the children over one or two weeks.

In addition to our well-resourced tooms, we have an exceptional children's kitchen for budding chefs to engage in diverse cooking activities and learn about nutritious food choices, alongside Boogie Mites, an interactive music and movement session beloved by children of all ages, offering exciting educational opportunities through music and song.

We love to get outside and enjoy our natural spaces, so learning is often taken outside into the garden or taking advantage of the Goals football pitch, right next door to the nursery. We’re fortunate to have three beautiful garden areas that provide excellent learning opportunities for children of all ages to enjoy. Babies love their designated garden, which allows them to explore in a lovely safe space away from the older children.

While your child is busy exploring and having fun, we can keep you updated via our Family app. Available for all Bright Horizons parents, this will keep you connected with your child's day-to-day experiences and up to date as they develop during their time with us.
