Learning Through Play

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the very best start at our Bright Horizons Otterbourne Day Nursery and Preschool through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government's EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop your little one's skills.

Your child will be inspired by our lively atmosphere and have access to plenty of exciting activities. Whether they are practising their communication skills during creative role-play, getting handy with construction or enjoying some messy sensory play, there's always something to spark their imagination and boost their confidence.

Getting Ready for school

Your child will be supported as a Growing Reader, Writer, Mathematician, Artist and more, through our Growing Enhancements and Ready For School Programme. This includes the fun and popular Boogie Mites where they will learn about the world through music and song.

Your preschooler will be well prepared for school and beyond with support from our qualified preschool teacher. We help them learn important life skills such as serving themselves at mealtimes, tying shoelaces and communicating effectively.

Outdoor Adventures

Babies and toddlers have their own safe and cosy gardens to explore. Older children share a large garden that includes an external classroom, climbing equipment, woodland walk area, mud kitchen, and so much more to inspire outdoor learning.

Our covered, all-weather areas allow for fresh air play, even in the rain.

Children also love exploring beyond our nursery with regular visits to local woodlands and fields, and they especially enjoy trips to the library on our very own bus!
