An Outstanding Nursery in Spitalfields

Located close to the famous Spitalfields Market, Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool is an Ofsted Outstanding nursery providing exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Rooms to Encourage Active Learning Through Play

Babies love their colourful room, where their days are filled with exciting discoveries to support their development. They also have their own sleep room, so nap routines can be followed just like at home. Our practitioners try to follow each baby’s routine from home as closely as possible.

In our spacious toddler room, children are encouraged to build their independence and confidence with activities planned around each child’s individual interests.

Preschoolers love their room and will feel confident to start school as they take part in our Ready for School Programme, learning the essential skills for them to take their next steps.

A Bright Beginning for Every Child

Designed by our Early Years specialists, your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, it combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

The Curriculum is complemented by our Ready for School Programme, which supports the development of key academic and life skills so children can continue their learning journey with confidence.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

You can stay updated with your child’s day through our Bright Horizons Family app.

Discoveries in the Garden

Your little explorer will love spending time in our fun-filled garden, which is filled with exciting resources to encourage active learning. From joining in with the gardening club and making messy mud pies in our mud kitchen, to learning about healthy eating choices as they plant their own fruits and vegetables, there is so much to discover.

All-Inclusive Care and Convenience

  • ● Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by our onsite chef. Our all-inclusive care extends to snacks, nappies, wipes, formula, and creams.
  • ● Our Spitalfields nursery is ideally located for commuting parents, being close to Liverpool Street station, Fenchurch Street station and Cannon Street station as well as Liverpool Street Underground and Shoreditch High Street Overground.

Meet the Team

Bright Horizons Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool Manager

Eleonora Borzani

I have worked with children for the past 11 years and have continued to enjoy it very much.

It is a rewarding field to work in that requires continuous improvements as you never stop learning, at the same time it is very interesting as you meet children with different interests and passions and this aspect challenge you to change and adapt your everyday work with them.

I hold a Level 3 Childcare qualification and an Art and Design degree, I love to apply my knowledge and understanding in my day to day work and I find massively rewarding seeing improvements and positive changes in the children’s development. I bring my love for arts and craft, reading and theorists to the nursery to share with the children and inspire my team.

Bright Horizons Spitalfields Day Nursery and Preschool Deputy Manager

Grace Mathurin

I started working at Bright Horizons Spitalfields in 2009. I worked my way up from Baby Room Leader to Third in Charge. After 9 years, I took a break and returned in 2020 as deputy manager. I love seeing the children grow and develop throughout their time at nursery and ensuring we’re providing exceptional care and education.

Candy Floss

Candy Floss

Hi, my name is Candy Floss, I joined Bright Horizons in March 2010 as the ‘Super Safety Hero’ to help nursery children stay safe and manage risks. My role as a Health and Safety Super Hero is unique to Bright Horizons and I’m in every nursery, 365 days a year.

Back in 2010, I saw a job advert for a Zebra Super Safety Hero – I was very excited, applied and was invited for an interview with several other zebras. We were interviewed by all the children who then voted on which of us would be their Super Safety Hero. It was hoof biting but I was thrilled when they told me I was the most voted for by the children who all loved me because of my cape and bag. My bag is very special, if something fits inside, it’s a choking hazard. You might be wondering how I got my name. The children in our nurseries chose five names and voted for their favourite. I love it as it’s unique, I mean have you ever heard of a zebra called Candy Floss? Exactly!

Why Bright Horizons

The Bright Horizons passion and enthusiasm for providing high-quality care isn’t just common knowledge within our own business – we’ve also gained some impressive accolades from external sources for excellence as both a childcare provider, and as an employer. We are the only childcare company to have been listed for the last 11 years as one of the country’s top 50 “Great Places to Work” by the Great Place to Work Institute.
