West Norwood Day Nursery and Preschool

Welcome to West Norwood Day Nursery and Preschool. Our beautifully designed nursery, set in a converted church, has a highly qualified and friendly team. We provide a caring and nurturing environment for children aged from 3 months to 5 years.

Tailored Rooms for All Ages

Each of our specially designed, spacious rooms are equipped with premium quality, age-appropriate furniture, and resources from Community Playthings, with each room benefiting from direct access to its own age-appropriate garden.

Your baby will feel confident in our baby room, with a separate play area and calming sleep room, complete with coloured lights to create a soothing experience.

2 to 3-year-olds love their spacious room, which has lots of room for exploring as they develop their independence. With play trays, reading areas, a home corner, and an indoor climbing frame, there is always something new to discover. The room also benefits from freeflow access to its own garden.

Our preschool room has its own ICT area and our qualified preschool teacher works with your child to prepare them with the skills they need to feel ready and confident to start school. The room also has an adjoining bathroom and freeflow access to the preschool garden.

Children also enjoy Boogie Mites music sessions where they can learn about the world through music and song.

Your little one will get the best start to their schooling life through our enriching and wellbeing-focused Bright Beginnings Curriculum, designed by our own Early Years specialists.

Building on the foundations of the government’s EYFS curriculum, Bright Beginnings combines a wide range of activities to nurture and develop the skills your child needs to flourish and reach their full potential. This holistic yet personal approach supports each child’s wellbeing, development, and progress – whether that’s moving rooms or preparing them for school.

Getting Ready for Their Next Steps

To ensure your little learner is confident to start school, our older children take part in our Ready for School programme, which brings structure and focus to maths, reading, writing, and other essential skills they need to get ready for school.

Garden Adventures

Our outdoor space is divided into age-appropriate areas to give your child the best play and learning experience.

Our baby garden is connected to the baby room and features a teepee and a range of colourful soft play equipment.

Some of the amazing features include a hobbit house, cycle track, small climbing frame, water feature, stage area, and much more.
